The urban growth in the years of 1870-1913 was unprecedented in America. When a Hungarian Catholic was roaming America, he found that America at that time developed “tall chimneys” which was emitting smokes incessantly (pp. 540). In the year 1877, America was primarily dependent on the foreign investment but by the year 1917 the entire scenario got transformed. The technical evolution surpassed the country and enveloped with the industrial development. The age of industrialization changed the picturesque of the community and it engaged millions of immigrants from the globe (pp. 540). At this time women were entitled with the more powerful and independent roles in the urban society (pp. 541). Now America experienced the new culture inbred with the new houses whereas the pleasures for the industrialist had no bounds and included millions of immigrants in the workforce.
